To enhance the experience we provide quality well maintained rods, reels, terminal tackle and fresh bait. We provide optional drinking water and recommend you bring snacks or a cut lunch, warm clothing, hat and sunglasses. You also have the option to bring your favourite rod and reel.

Prior to your excursion, the Skipper will reach out to discuss the optimal strategy for the day, taking into account factors such as wind direction and speed, tidal movements, moon phases, and the targeted sport fish species. This proactive approach ensures that each trip is customized to provide the best possible fishing opportunities.

We understand that dedicated anglers traveling specifically to fish with us in Tasmania often allocate a broader timeframe to accommodate the variable nature of ideal fishing conditions.

Flexibility can create options for the most favorable days to maximize fishing success. Conversely, we recognize that holidaymakers with limited schedules may have constraints on available days for fishing outings.

In such cases, Adam employs a creative and adaptable approach to fit the charter into your itinerary, considering the conditions to provide the best experience possible. Rescheduling is considered a last resort, ensuring that your fishing adventure proceeds as planned whenever feasible.

Explore Diverse Fishing Destinations

Embark on an adventure to diverse fishing destinations, including the Tamar River Estuary, Bridport / Waterhouse and Rubicon River Estuary.

Tamar River Estuary.

The Tamar river on the central northern coast of Tasmania needs no introduction in the fishing fraternity. The Tamar is known as Australia's home of the notorious XXL King George Whiting. Whiting in excess of 60cm and 1.5 Kilo are caught, however regular captures of kilo plus fish in excess of 50cm are abundant. Liken'd to catching and dehooking a mature kicking sausage dog is probably the best analogy. The estuary is also in fact a listed Ray / Shark reserve and has produced many snapper in excess of 18 to 20 lb although enigmatic. The Tamar plays host to a myriad of fish, including king George whiting, Blue spot flathead, Trevally, Australian Salmon, Elephant fish, Leather jacket, Mackerel, Mullet, Taylor, Garfish, large squid up to 3kg. Penguins are commonly sighted, also at certain times of the year you will see dolphins and whales inside the estuary.

Note: Boat Launching sites will be at either Beauty Point Public Boat Ramp located at Flinders St Beauty Point 7270 opposite the Tamar Sea Rescue Shed or Kelso Public Boat Ramp located at 20 Kelso Jetty Road Kelso 7270. Pick ups welcome at other local pontoons on the Tamar.

Rubicon River Estuary.

The tannin-stained water of the Rubicon River flows from Port Sorel heads toward the Frankfort Hwy, the stretch of water is lined with productive oyster lined banks and flats. The habitat around the flats, racks and snags regularly produces arguably the largest bream in Australia. There is no commercial pressure on this species which makes them a very sustainable sought after sport fish with specimens often exceeding 50cm, also a very underrated table fish. Port Sorel plays host to a myriad of fish, including Snapper, king George whiting, Trevally, Australian Salmon, Mullet Taylor, Squid and garfish. This estuary is also a shark and ray reserve.

Note: Boat launching will be at Port Sorel Public Boat Ramp
